2015 Bajaj Avenger will launch in the coming days
The new Bajaj Avenger will be launched this month, in different versions. This was confirmed by Bajaj Auto's Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj to CNBC TV18.
Bajaj Avenger 'Street' and traditional cruiser with chrome parts spotted
Two of the three versions of the Avenger have been spotted thus far; one is a full black themed Bajaj Avenger 'Street' variant, and the other is a chrome-intensive cruiser model.
Bajaj Avenger 'Street' resembles the Harley Davidson Street
The Bajaj Avenger Street gets a new 12-spoke alloy wheel design, a smaller handlebar, new handlebar clamp, a new instrument cluster and clear lens indicators. The latter gets a small digital display and a blue-backlit Bajaj logo within the analog speedometer dial. Components such as the new alloy wheels, handlebar, center console on top of the fuel tank, engine assembly and the exhaust pipe, are blackened as part of the all-black colour scheme with new body graphics.
There is also a pair of rubber boots covering the inner tubes of the telescopic fork, that add to the similarity of the Avenger Street to the Harley Davidson Street 750 in addition to the multi-spoke black wheels.
2015 Bajaj Avenger 'Cruise' could have the same 220 cc engine
The cruise variant is embellished with chrome accents, similar to the outgoing version. It has a tall handlebar setup suitable for comfortable long-distance rides. It retains the classic look of the motorcycle, continuing with spoke wheels, and wearing a large windshield and a new exhaust can. It is expected to feature the same 220 cc engine doing duty in the current model.
