Design will be an evolution of the current model.

Omniauto has rendered the 2017 Porsche Panamera based on new spyshots. The car is confirmed to be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

The render builds upon the previous design and incorporates some cues from the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera.

The rendering shows the familiar face with some changes to the headlights that look to have received the four-point DRL treatment.

The new Panamera (codename: Porsche G2) will be based on the VW Group's MSB platform expected to give the coupe more agility and fuel efficiency owing to weight reduction of more than 90 kg as compared to the current model. It is reported to be offered in three bodystyles of five-door coupe, a long wheelbase version and a sporty Turismo variant that’s supposed to come with a ‘GTS’ moniker.

It is reported that the 2017 Panamera will be up to 90 kg lighter than its predecessor, as it will switch to the MSB platform.

Powering the MY 2017 Panamera will be a choice of turbocharged V6 and V8 engines transferring drive to the front or all four wheels through the company’s PDK dual-clutch gearbox. A hybrid variant will also be offered that will likely improve upon the pure-electric range and carbon emission of the current version.
