Engineers have also taken more efforts to improve the NVH levels of the sedan, by redesigning components like the wiper blades, wheel wells and door seals.
Inside, the 2016 Elantra features a new dashboard design which is tilted 6.9 degrees towards the driver. Hyundai has generously equipped the cabin with a Harman sound system, memory function for the seat adjustment, a smart trunklid, high-beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, and blind spot detection.
Hyundai announced a 1.6-liter GDi, a 2.0-liter MPi and a 1.6-liter VGT CRDi, with the diesel engine getting access to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic are available with the other engines.
