The 2015 Ford Figo hatchback will share almost all of its components and body parts with the Figo Aspire sedan.

A report on Motorbash states that the 2015 Ford Figo will be powered by the 1.5-liter TDCi Duratorq engine that produces 100 PS for the Figo Aspire. As for the petrol engine, the report states that the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT engine mated to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic will also be offered. With 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque, this will also make it the most powerful hatchback in the country, putting even some compact sedans to shame in terms of its power output.

This engine would, however, place the hatchback outside the government's excise benefit bracket, thus driving up its prices.

The Figo hatchback will be the second product to be manufactured at the company's recently inaugurated manufacturing facility in Sanand. Almost all of the hatch's body parts and interior will be shared with the compact sedan Aspire, thereby keeping production costs low. Apart from the 1.5-liter diesel engine, the 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol motor will be the default petrol engine, producing about 88 PS.
