First public debut of the facelifted models.
The 2015 Toyota Grand New Veloz and Toyota Grand New Avanza have made their public debuts at the 2015 Indonesia International Motor Show today, following the launch of the two MPVs on August 17.
Toyota Grand New Avanza
Up front, the Grand New Avanza gets a bold chrome bar connecting the new swept-back headlights that flow into a larger grille, and a sportier front bumper. While the side profile remains largely identical to the outgoing model, the rear end features new taillamp clusters, extended reflectors and a chrome garnish above the registration plate.
It measures 4,190 mm long, 1,660 wide and 1,695 high, and has a wheelbase of 2,655 mm. Safety features include ABS and EBD, dual airbags, side impact beams, and a smart key with immobilizer.
The interior is similar to the outgoing model, save for small design and equipment upgrades. The range-topping Toyota Grand New Avanza 1.5 G features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth streaming and navigation. The rear seats are ISOFIX, and comes with an additional third headrest in the second row of seats. The third row seats now split 50:50 for improved practicality.
Under the hood, the lower variant is powered by a 1.3-liter engine with dual VVT-i, which produces 96.5 hp and 120 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox or 4-speed automatic. Also on offer is a more powerful 1.5-liter 5NR-FE sourced from the Chinese-spec Toyota Vios. It delivers 104 hp and 139 Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed manual.
Prices for the Toyota Grand New Avanza range between Rp 180.6 million – Rp 211 million. Initial units have already arrived at dealerships, and deliveries will begin by the end of this month.

Toyota Grand New Veloz
The top-end variant of the Grand New Veloz comes with a larger air dam separated from the grille, projector headlamps and a new bumper design housing round fog lamps. The rear-end is identical to the Grand New Avanza.
While the Grand New Veloz offers the same engine lineup as in the Grand New Avanza, the range-topping trim pairs the 1.5-liter unit to a 4-speed automatic transmission exclusively.
The Toyota Grand New Veloz is priced between Rp. 204.2 million and Rp. 226.9 million.
