The upcoming Lada Vesta sedan is expected to cost between 500,000 - 550,000 rubles.

This report contradicts the official statement from Lada’s CEO, Bo Andersson, who confirmed that it will cost around 400,000 rubles (INR 4.8 lakhs). The report attributes the pricing change to the exchange rate of the Russian Ruble.

Despite the higher price, Lada promises that the Vesta will be richly equipped. Spyshots have revealed that it will feature a touchscreen display, steering mounted controls, dual front airbags, and heated front seats. Other optional equipment include electrically adjustable wing mirrors, automatic headlights, automatic wipers and ABS.

The Vesta measures 4,410 mm long, 1,764 mm wide and 1,497 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,635 mm, and is, reportedly, based on the ‘Lada B’ platform developed by AvtoVAZ and Renault-Nissan. Lada will offer a range of 1.6-liter four cylinder engines, paired to either a 5-speed manual or a AMT gearbox

The Lada Vesta is currently undergoing trial production at parent company AvtoVAZ's plant in Russia. According to a report, the Lada Vesta will be manufactured with only 46% localization. Mr Andersson claims that once series production begins, the localization will be closer to 60%. However, the Lada Xray will have only 25% of its parts localized, thus being heavily dependent on imported parts, which could affect final pricing.
