It goes without saying that I’m a huge petrolhead and can apparently convert all my driving emotions into words you can read.
Powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid.
Along with the fourth generation Lexus RX crossover, Lexus Indonesia also unveiled the facelifted 2016 Lexus ES300h at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (2015 GIIAS). It is priced at Rp. 1.35 billion (off-the-road).
The facelifted model made its world debut at the Auto Shanghai, which is all set to replace the current model (priced at Rp. 915 million). Changes attributed to the facelift include an aggressive Lexus Spindle grille, sharper headlamps with “L-shaped” LED DRLs, and new 17-inch alloy rims. At the back, it gets new “L-shaped” LED clusters in the taillamps, and a subtle spoiler.
As for the interior, the 2016 Lexus ES300h comes with an updated Lexus Enform infotainment display paired to a mouse controller, new Mark Levinson Premium Sound system and Panoramic Roof options, Smart Key Entry with Smart Start Ignition, new steering wheel design, and a larger 3.5″ TFT Multi Information Display in the instrument cluster. New trim materials include Linear Dark Mocha wood, Illustrious Piano Black wood and Bamboo with a matte finish.
Powering the 2016 Lexus ES300h is a hybrid system combining a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine with two high output electric motors, which produce a combined output of 202 bhp at 5,700 rpm and peak torque of 213 Nm at 4,500 rpm, and is paired to an E-CVT unit. Fuel consumption and CO2 emission are rated at 18.2 km/L and 130 g/km, respectively.
