In the domestic market, the company aims to sell 9,000 units of the sedan in its first year.

As it is classified as an Eco-car, the Ciaz is powered by a 1.25-liter four-cylinder K12B petrol engine which is capable of 91 hp at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. This engine is offered with a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. With the small 1.25L engine, the kerb weight of the Ciaz drops to a mere 960 kg.
