Hyundai Creta's brochure released ahead of launch - IAB Report

HMIL has already received over 10,000 bookings for the compact SUV.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has released the brochure of the Creta ahead of its launch tomorrow (July 21, 2015).

HMIL said in a statement last week that it had already received 10,000 "confirmed" customers for the Creta.

The 1.6-liter Dual VTVT petrol delivers 123 PS and 15.4 kgm of torque (151 Nm), while the 1.4-liter CRDi produces 90 PS and 22.4 kgm (219 Nm). Both these engines will get a 6-speed manual transmission only. The 1.6-liter CRDi motor, the flagship engine option, churns 128 PS and 26.5 kgm (259 Nm) of torque, and is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures are yet to be released though.

The Duster-rivaling compact SUV measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,630 mm in height and 2,590 mm in wheelbase. It gets a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters.

Suspension duties are handled by a McPherson strut with coil springs up front while the rear gets a Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with coil springs. Disc brakes up front and drum brakes at the rear perform retardation duties, though all variants get ABS and EBD as standard.

According to reports, HMIL plans on selling around 5,000 units of the Creta in the domestic market each month. The Creta will also be exported from India, the carmaker confirmed.
