Will debut at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Ahead of its unveil at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, a pre-production prototype of the fourth generation Renault Megane has been spotted in Normandy, France, by Mr. Enzo. Although the mule is completely wrapped-up, it does reveal a new design inline with the company's latest generation of products.
The spyshot reveals a front fascia that borrows design cues from the Renault Kadjar and Eolab Concept. Characteristic features include a redesigned set of swept-back headlamps that flow into a V-shaped grille, and a new bumper design with re-profiled air intake. Other spy pictures show that the rear gets new taillamps, a sportier bumper and a single oval exhaust tip.
The 2016 Renault Megane will ride on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF architecture (CMF-CD) that also underpins the new Nissan Pulsar. Switching from its C-Platform to the CMF will not only keep manufacturing costs competitive for Renault, but the 2016 Megane is also expected to be lighter than the outgoing model.

The Renault Megane could feature a downsized engine lineup, as evidenced from the lack of a dual exhaust system in previous spyshots. The top-of-the-line model may source power from a 1.6 TCe turbocharged petrol engine producing between 160-200 PS.
