The S60 T6 now packs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, as against its predecessor's six-cylinder unit.

Where the pre-facelift S60 T6 was powered by a straight-six 3.0-liter engine, the new S60 T6 will source power from a four-cylinder, direct-injected 2.0-liter engine. On the new S60 T6, this engine makes 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque, whereas the pre-facelift model saw figures of 304 hp and 440 Nm of torque.

The new S60 T6 will be paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels of the sedan, whereas the previous model came with an AWD system. However, the incoming model promises to be quicker to 100 km/h with the dash taking a mere 5.9 seconds. The top-speed though is rated at 230 km/h.

The S60 T6's cabin is expected to be identical to the diesel variant.

On the feature front, the S60 T6 is expected to be well-equipped with an electronic climate control system, a sunroof, leather seats, power-adjustable seats, a digital TFT instrument cluster, active bending headlights with LED daytime running lights, park assist and a 7-inch infotainment system.

The closest competitor for the S60 T6 will be the BMW 3 Series 328i, which also relies on a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Where the 328i is assembled in India, the S60, like all other Volvo cars, will be imported through the CBU route.
