The new Apache will launch this year.

Yet another test mule of the upcoming Draken-based TVS Apache has been spotted, this time by TeamBHP reader Idk2. The spy shots show the bike from the rear and reaffirms the inspirations from the TVS Draken concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.

TVS Apache rear profile spied
The test mule seen here sports fatter tyres at the rear, just like the present TVS Apache.

Seen from the rear, the bike gets disc brakes on alloy wheels at both ends and what seems like a rear disc that's larger than the one on the present TVS Apache RTR 180, hinting that power is not likely to be anything similar to the current model.

The rear grab handle also seems to have been redesigned to look more streamlined, rather than the bull horn design that the Apache currently shows. Tyres, predictably, are fatter at the rear than at the front.

Several key features and design cues from the TVS Draken have gone into the upcoming next-generation TVS Apache.

As for the seat design, TVS seems to have gone for a seat that's more inclined at the rear than the current Apache's. Just like in the concept, a monoshock suspension design is seen on the test mule, albeit not as offset as it was on the concept. Unlike the Draken that housed a reverse freeflow exhaust unit, the test mule sports a more conventional exhaust outlet.

The TVS Draken concept was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo with a single-cylinder 250 cc engine that sits on a trellis frame. Expect the new Apache to launch in India in 2015.
