The RS200 gets a Bosch-made ABS system.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200, launched in India in March this year, is the first Pulsar model to come with ABS. Fitted as an option, the ABS variant of the Pulsar RS200 costs INR 12,000 more than the non-ABS variant, ex-Showroom, Delhi. However, that has not deterred enthusiasts from ticking this option, according to Eric Vas, president of Bajaj Auto’s motorcycle business.

The executive revealed in an interview that more than 50 percent of RS200 customers have opted for the top-end ABS variant, which is priced at INR 1.3 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. As of June this year, Bajaj says that it has received over 3,500 bookings for the RS200 pan-India.

The RS200 is based on the same frame as the Pulsar 200 NS. However, it is powered by a fuel-injected version of the 199.5 cc engine which develops 24.5 PS and 18.6 Nm of torque. Paired to a 6-speed transmission, the Pulsar RS200 has a claimed top-speed of 141 km/h.
