Launch confirmed for April 7.
Suzuki has started dispatching the Gixxer SF to dealerships across the country. The 'street sport bike' as Suzuki calls it, will launch on April 7, the Japanese manufacturer confirmed.
The Gixxer SF, the faired version of the Gixxer, gets some amount of its design inspired by larger motorcycles such as the Hayabusa and GSX R-1000. The motorcycle will continue to be powered by the 154.9 cc single-cylinder engine, which on the regular Gixxer makes 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
The Gixxer SF will also continue with the standard Gixxer's telescopic front fork and monoshock rear suspension layout. What remains to be seen is how much the SF weighs in comparison to the Gixxer (which tips the scales at 135 kg).
Reports state that the Gixxer SF will come in colors such as Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Red, Pearl Mirage White and Metallic Grey shades.

Coming to pricing, the Gixxer SF is expected to cost about INR 10,000-15,000 more than the regular Gixxer, which costs INR 83,549, on-road, New Delhi.
