Autocar UK reports that the Jaguar F-Pace will be revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, set to take place in September this year. At the previous edition of the show in 2013, Jaguar unveiled the C-X17 crossover concept, which to a large extent is reported to have inspired the design of the F-Pace.

The F-Pace will be offered with four- and six-cylinder engines. A V8 could also be seen.

The first SUV for the brand will be manufactured in Solihull, U.K., from 2016. The 5-seater is announced to feature an "advanced suspension system", AWD technology and Jaguar's new All-Surface Progress Control.

JLR's new Ingenium range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be offered as standard on the F-Pace, though the 'S' variant will feature a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 petrol engine. Later down the line, the publication says that the range-topping 5.0-liter supercharged V8 would be offered as a potential rival for a performance-oriented Porsche Macan.

Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover global operations director, says that the F-Pace name was chosen to highlight the car's relationship to the F-Type (design wise), and the second part of the name comes from Jaguar's famous 'Grace, Pace, Space' slogan used many years ago.
