To be unveiled on March 24.

It has only been a few days since Jaguar dropped the first set of teasers of the next generation XF, and a render of the front end has surfaced, courtesy of L'Automobile. It gives a basic look at the expected changes in store for the next midsize sedan from Jaguar.

Render adds a larger mesh grille flanked by sleeker LED headlamps borrowed from the C-X17 SUV, a familiar set of lower air intakes, and a sculpted hood.

Judging by the render, the next generation model doesn't look significantly different from the outgoing model. The front-end is characterized by the larger mesh grille flanked by sleeker LED headlamps borrowed from the C-X17 SUV concept, a familiar set of lower air intakes, and a sculpted front hood.

The side profile features an F-Type inspired air intake, and a new C-Pillar design. The new XF will be slightly longer than the outgoing model for better rear passenger comfort. Also in the works is a long-wheelbase model exclusively for the Chinese market.

Significant changes will be seen inside the 2016 Jaguar XF; featuring a new center console, steering wheel, InControl infotainment display and a TFT instrument display. Jaguar is also expected to increase the rear cabin space for better headroom and legroom - an aspect that was criticized in the current model.

The next generation XF will be powered by the latest Ingenium range of fuel-efficient four cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The "S" variant will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged, while the hardcore SVR model could feature the 5.0-liter V8 supercharged. Thanks to the lighter aluminum-intensive platform, the XF will be more fuel efficient and quicker than before.
