Car launches in India in February 2015 – IAB Picks

Anjan Ravi,

I’m a true-blooded petrolhead. Hope you enjoy our news stories, launch coverages, motorshow coverages and test drive reports.

The second month of the new year will see at least four car launches in India. With the financial year coming to a close, certain car makers are still awaiting the new Budget, and the changes that could come into effect regarding excise duty, before launching their products. Nevertheless, here’s what the car enthusiast can look forward to in February –

1. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C Class diesel:

The C Class diesel will come via the CBU route.

Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed that it will launch the diesel variant of the new C Class on February 11. As reported earlier, the new C Class diesel will also be imported via the CBU route, just like the petrol C200 model.

Power for the new C200 CDI will come from the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission turning the rear wheels. The car is expected to be rich on equipment with features such as LED headlights, a Burmester audio system and a touch-pad controlled media system among other features.
