Will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show.

After judiciously placing the 2016 Nissan Maxima in its Super Bowl advert, the company has released two images of the car. Based on the Sport Sedan concept unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the 2016 Nissan Maxima boasts a wide V-motion front end, boomerang headlamps, a high deck, and a floating roof.

Based on the Sport Sedan concept, the 2016 Nissan Maxima is likely to be powered by a 3.5-litre V6.

The car is expected to be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine that makes in excess of 260 hp. Being described as a 4-door sports car, the new Maxima also showcases the future design language of smaller Nissan vehicles. It won't be wrong to expect a similar makeover on the next generation Sunny, which will be sporty-looking, as Shiro Nakamura, Nissan's head of design, mentioned.
