Fastest and most powerful Lotus ever.
The 2015 Lotus Evora 400 has been revealed prior to its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015, that begins on March 3.
Described as the “fastest and most powerful production Lotus ever,” the car comes with a new bumper featuring larger air intakes and LED daytime running lamps.
At the back, a new ventilated rear bumper, diffuser and a “three-element” rear wing have been added. Restyled mirrors and new 19-/20-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires bundle up the changes.
The cabin features more comprehensive changes with a new dashboard, redone center console and instrument cluster. The material quality has been upgraded featuring a forged magnesium steering wheel, while new seats and a new infotainment system also take their places.
A 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine that produces 400 bhp and 410 Nm of torque powers the car, and it is operated through either a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.
The Evora 400 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h.
The car is built on a redesigned aluminum chassis which has cut the car’s weight by 22 kg. Also new are the retuned suspension, upgraded brakes and a standard Limited Slip Differential (LSD) on models featuring the six-speed manual gearbox.
The Evora 400 goes into production this summer, with European deliveries set to kick off in August. The car will subsequently go on sale in North America in fall as a 2016 model.
