To come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.

Hyundai is planning to showcase its next generation infotainment solutions at the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Called Display Audio, the new system is a touchscreen-based unit which will be seen on the 2016 models from the car maker first, before being made available to the rest of the range

The Hyundai Display Audio system will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems.

Display Audio is Hyundai's way of making in-car entertainment simpler and more effective. With that in mind, the system boasts great connectivity features. There will be no CD player or navigation system as such, because Display Audio will use your smartphone's features for that.

Both Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto will be available for users to stream certain apps to the touchscreen and use it there like they would on their respective smartphones. This not only allows a wider range of use than having a navigation system inbuilt, but will also make sure that information related to weather, upcoming calendar appointments, and traffic conditions are available at hand.

Using a USB connection, you'll be able to stream the data (contacts, music, text messages etc.) from the phone. Both Apple's Siri Eyes Free and Google's voice commands will be available, to enable a total handsfree and eyes free, of course, control for the system.

Hyundai will also have its Blue Link technology embedded into the system, which connects to the user's smartphone and makes features like Remote Start with Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, etc. available for the user. It can also give the user a monthly health report and comes with an automatic collision notification system.

At first, the 2016 models will get the new, feature-rich Display Audio system, while the company assures that it (the system) will make it to all of the entry level models, too.
