The Ford EcoSport has been made available through Canteen Stores Department (CSD) for Defense personnel and Centre Police Canteen (CPC) across the country.
The popular compact crossover can be bought through these stores by service personnel and ex-service men with usual benefits like sales tax exemption or discount (depending on the state). In addition, Ford India has announced that bookings made through CSD and CPC will enjoy delivery on priority which is subject to variant availability.
The EcoSport is available with three engine and transmission options. The petrol lineup includes a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine which delivers 112 PS (110.42 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque, and a EcoBoost 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged motor developing 125 PS (123.24 bhp) and 170 Nm of torque. The lone 1.5-litre four-cylinder oil burner makes 91 PS (89.71 bhp) and 204 Nm of torque.
The base petrol engine is mated either to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic while the EcoBoost motor is available with a 5-speed MT. The diesel motor is offered only with a 5-speed manual unit as well.

The India-made Ford EcoSport has already surpassed the 1 lakh production milestone (export and domestic wholesales combined).
