The narrower headlamps come with standard Xenon elements with integrated daytime LED running lights. The car can also be specified with optional LED headlights.

The rear gets re-detailed taillights and a revised bumper. The interior has been carried forward but gains additional equipment.

The engine lineup has been improved to comply with the Euro 6 emission norms with up to 17% fewer CO2 emissions. The power outputs of the three TSI petrol and three TDI diesel engines range from 120 PS (118.3 bhp) to 220 PS (216.9 bhp). The engines are now equipped with the Cylinder-On-Demand technology which shuts down some cylinders when full power is not needed.
