Terra Motors makes its European debut.
Japan’s Terra Motors announced their European entry at the EICMA 2014 today. The brand showcased the A4000i which was also brought to the Auto Expo 2014.
The A4000i, as Terra Motors claims, is the world’s first electric scooter with smartphone connectivity.
Compatible with the iPhone, readouts such as electricity consumption, remaining battery and other driving data can be viewed on the user’s phone. By using location data, Terra Motors says that advertisements will also be possible.
The A4000i is powered by a hub-mounted electric motor which receives electricity from a 48V lithium-ion battery.
The scooter can achieve a top-speed of 60 km/h and takes 4.5 hours to recharge. The maximum range stands at 60 km.
