As a toddler, those wheeled machinery fascinated me even before I knew what they’re called as! So here I’m, petrolhead by birth, Mechanical engineer by qualification and automotive reporter by profession!
The Tata Xenon 150NX-Plore 4WD and Tata Xenon Heavy Duty CNG pickup trucks are in attendance at the ongoing Thailand International Motor Expo 2014. The Xenon caters to the lower spectrum of Thailand’s expansive commercial vehicle market.

The pickup boasts of several visual enhancements to have an upmarket appeal. The front fascia gains a muscular bumper with LED daytime running light strips on the foglight housing. In profile, the 150NX-Plore features alloy wheels, black roof rails, body decals and a body colored roll hoop.
The rear gets a new bumper with a black foot board. The interior comes with a multimedia infotainment system and silver accents on the dashboard and steering wheel. The double cab pickup comes with standard ABS.
Mechanically, the special edition pickup truck employs the 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine which is mated to a new G-76 Mark II 5-speed manual transmission employing a newly designed clutch, and drives all the four wheels. Tata Motors has not announced the vehicle’s price.
