The RC390 is based on the Duke 390 but offers track friendly handling and a lean-forward riding position. The razor sharp styling would be well received in the compact sportbike loving Indonesian market.

The motorcycle is powered by a 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, also derived from the Duke 390. The fuel-injected motor delivers an impressive 43.5 PS (42.9 bhp) at 9,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. In terms of performance, the Austrian machine clearly outweighs its perceived rival, the locally made Yamaha YZF-R25. However, the new YZF-R3, if launched in Indonesia, will be a proper rival.
