Gets a sporty body kit.

The Honda HR-V Modulo (Vezel), a visually enhanced version of the recently launched crossover, is in attendance at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2014.

The HR-V Modulo differentiates itself with a chrome grille insert, honeycomb meshing in the lower part of the grille and a sharper bumper.

The sides get fender gills, Modulo alloy wheels, window visors and silver scuff plates, while the rear gets a roof-mounted spoiler, chrome stripes on the tailgate and bumper, and a black plastic diffuser. The interior is finished in black.

The compact crossover for the Thai market is available only with the 1.8-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine which belts out 141 PS (139 bhp) at 6,500 rpm and 172 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a CVT and is available only in the FWD configuration for now.

The Thai-spec HR-V comes packed with standard features such as dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, electric parking brake, and HSA (Hill Start Assist). The fully loaded variant is equipped with side and curtain airbags, a multimedia infotainment system with reverse parking camera, sunroof and diamond cut alloy wheels.

Market positioning in Thailand is above the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke which is considered as a deliberate attempt by Honda to keep the doors open for the rumored Brio-based mini SUV. The crossover's prices range from 890,000 Baht to 1.045 million Baht (INR 16.74 lakhs to INR 19.66 lakhs).
