EICMA 2014 Live – Ducati Diavel Titanium
As a toddler, those wheeled machinery fascinated me even before I knew what they’re called as! So here I’m, petrolhead by birth, Mechanical engineer by qualification and automotive reporter by profession!
The Diavel Titanium is a limited edition.
Giving company to the new Ducati 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200 is the Ducati Diavel Titanium edition which is limited to just 500 units.
The sinister power cruiser brings onboard numerous titanium and carbon fibre parts. The headlight cover, central and side tank covers and an insert on the passenger seat cover are made of the lightweight and sturdy metal.
The carbon fibre parts include the passenger seat cover, air intakes, radiator cover, windscreen, front and rear fenders, sprocket cover and fuel filler surround. Further, dual-texture Alcantara-leather seat and Zircotech ceramic-lined exhaust pipes and individual number plaques add to the exclusivity of the motorcycle.
The 162 hp Testastretta 11° Dual-Spark 1,198.4 cc engine remains the same and so do the Marzocchi inverted fork (front), Sachs monosuspension (rear) and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. The TFT instrument console display and full LED headlamps are retained too.
Ducati has not revealed the pricing of the limited edition model yet. More details should be available in the coming weeks.
