GoAuto, based on its sources, reveals certain interesting details about the new SUV. The new Endeavour will not only get an electric tailgate, but one that uses a gesture-based approach (in this case, waving one's foot below the rear bumper) to open. This novelty feature could be a boon if you need to open the boot of the car, but find your hands full.

Further, the SUV is reported to get an advanced adaptive cruise control system with autonomous braking. Of course, if this feature uses a radar for its functioning, it could be deleted for the Indian market as usage of radar-based systems in civilian vehicles with certain frequencies is banned in India.

An electric tailgate with a gesture based opening function will be one of the new features on the SUV.

As reported earlier, the new Endeavour exchanges its leaf spring rear suspension for a more comfortable coil sprung setup. Certain variants of the SUV will also get a long-range fuel tank for increased range. GoAuto also reports that certain test mules featured a multi-mode terrain controller suggesting that the off-road capability of the Ranger-based SUV could be increased further.
