Tinted headlamps, chrome finished grille and new front bumper are the prominent changes on the front fascia.

Dealers across the country have already started accepting bookings for the refreshed hatchback which will be launched in the coming weeks. The updated version of the compact sedan is likely to get similar improvements as its hatchback sibling as they are made on the same platform.

The Swift Dzire facelift would get a restyled front fascia involving chrome embellished grille and a new bumper with a larger airdam also swathed in chrome, and chrome bordered foglamp enclosures. A new alloy wheel/hubcap design, tinted headlamps and additional exterior color options are the other anticipated exterior changes.

Inside, the design and layout will remain the same but just like the Swift facelift, the higher variants of the sedan is expected to offer new equipment like Start/Stop button, new audio system, electrically foldable ORVMs and reverse parking sensor.

The dual-tone interior would be retained but the sedan will feature added equipment like push-button start, and call answer button.

The 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine are expected to continue under the hood with minor tweaks to improve the fuel efficiency. In the updated Swift, the petrol motor now returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.4 km/l while the diesel motor is good for 25.2 km/l. The improvement is to the tune of 10 percent, and likely for the Dzire to replicate.
