Nepal - KTM RC390 bookings open

Deliveries expected shortly.

The KTM RC390 is on display at the brand's outlet in Kathmandu, Nepal, and bookings have already commenced even as Indian customers wait for deliveries.

The RC390, here on display in Nepal, develops 43.5 PS (42.9 bhp) and 35 Nm of torque.

The RC390 which was launched last month in India at an introductory price of INR 2.05 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) is being manufactured at Bajaj's plant in Chakan, Maharashtra, which also rolls out the naked Duke 390.

With an edgy design highlighted by LED daytime running lights, an exposed trellis frame and a sharp tailpiece, the RC390 has sporty appeal in abundance.

Powered by the Duke 390's 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-engine, the fully-faired trackbred sportsbike delivers an impressive (43.5 PS) 42.9 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

The motorcycle was launched in India last month at an introductory price of INR 2.05 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The compact sportsbike is equipped with a WP telescopic fork (front) and monoshock (rear) suspension system. The 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes are governed by a Bosch ABS system while the wheels are wrapped in Metzeler tyres.

KTM has not announced the price for the Nepali market but high import duties won't make it a bike for everybody. It remains to be seen whether the RC200 will also sell in Nepal.
