Dacia will enter the Israeli market by end of this year.

Renault-owned Romanian carmaker, Dacia, said yesterday that it has sold 3 million cars since launching the brand through the Logan in 2004. The budget brand is currently present across Europe and the Mediterranean rim, and will enter Israel by the end of this year. In 2013 alone, Dacia entered new markets like U.K. Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Cyprus and Malta.

The 3 millionth car's keys were handed over at Dacia's stall at the Paris Motor Show.

The 3 millionth car was a Sandero Stepway, and its owner from Spain received the keys from Nicolas Wertans, Renault Group SVP Global Sales, at Dacia's stall at the Paris Motor Show. At the show, Dacia introduced the Lodgy Stepway, the Dokker Stepway, the Duster Air special edition and the Sandero Black Touch edition.

The Renault-Nissan alliance plant in India made the RHD Dacia Duster which helped the brand launch in UK and Ireland last year.

While the Dacia brand is not present in India, its products certainly are. The Mahindra Verito is basically the Dacia Logan, and the Verito Vibe is the chopped, sub-4 meter product based on the Logan.

And before Renault stuck their Lozenge to the Duster, it too was a Dacia. The Nissan Terrano on the other hand is a mildly redesigned Duster.

Going forth, 2015 will see another Dacia product come in the form of the Renault Lodgy. The three-row seven-seat Lodgy, based on the Duster, is the brand's Maruti Ertiga rival.

Dacia currently have five products in the family - Sandero, Logan, Duster, Dokker and Lodgy.
