2015 Maruti Swift facelift tech specs
The 2015 Maruti Swift's technical specifications.

The 1.2-liter four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine makes 84.3 PS (83.11 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque, as against the older model's 87 PS (85.77 bhp) at 6,200 rpm and 114 Nm of torque. In the newer model, the power output has decreased by 2.7 PS, though the peak power is made 200 rpm lower, and torque has increased by 1 Nm.

This was achieved by changing the compression ratio from 10.0:1 to 11.0:1. The result is that the petrol variant is about 10 percent more fuel efficient, up from 18.6 km/l to 20.4 km/l.

The 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine sees no changes, and makes 75 PS (73.94 bhp) at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. However, the diesel engine's efficiency has also incremented by 10 percent from 22.9 km/l to 25.2 km/l, thanks to an ECU update.
