The Maruti Ciaz will be launched next month.

Under the hood, the Ciaz will be offered with a choice of two engines: a 95 PS (93.6 bhp) 1.4-liter Ertiga-sourced K-series petrol engine or a 90 PS (88.7 bhp) 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced diesel engine. The petrol engine is mated either to a 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic gearbox while the diesel engine makes do with the same 5-speed manual gearbox

The Ciaz will be available in 4 different trims each with petrol and diesel powered units. The petrol Ciaz will be offered in VXi, VXi +, ZXi and ZXi+ trims while the diesel variants will be offered in VDi, VDi+, ZDi and ZDi+ trims.

The base VXi and VDi trim will feature projector headlamps, keyless entry, electric-operated wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators, fabric seats with front and rear armrests, and an audio system with USB, Aux-in and memory card support as standard.

Paying extra for the VXi+ or VDi+ trims will get you a driver-only airbag, climate control, Bluetooth functionality, steering mounted controls, reverse parking sensors, and ABS with EBD. Additionally, the 4-speed automatic gearbox will be optional for petrol variants above VXi+.
