The new car derives design inspiration from the VisionC concept.

The 2015 Skoda Fabia has been unveiled ahead of its Paris Motor Show debut next month. The third generation of the global premium hatchback has already entered production at the automaker's mother plant in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic. Here is a visual comparison of the new gen hatchback against its predecessor.

The new Fabia has moved on from side rub rails and blackened pillars.

The Fabia is the last of the automaker's models to receive the new family identity. The edgy front grille and bonnet-mounted logo are now found across the entire Skoda model range. The almond shaped headlamps of the old car have been replaced by angular units and the new front bumper hosts a wider airdam and smaller foglamps.

The new car possesses a modern silhouette which is characterized by a flat roof and a steeply tapering C-pillar. There is a strongly accentuated crease along the waistline and the greenhouse features a triangular rear quarter glass.

The kink on the rear door, the cuts on the tailgate and the C-Shaped taillight graphics make references to the VisionC concept.

The taillights are now rectangular, complementing the headlamps and the contoured hatch door is in line with those of its stablemates. The exhaust tip hides behind the new bumper.

The new Fabia gets the SmartGate system that lets users download vehicle data on to their device.

The interior of the new hatchback is a huge leap forward. While the basic layout has been retained, every single part has been redesigned to keep up with the changing times. The dashboard and three-spoke steering wheel feature white inserts and the centre console houses a color display for the MirrorLink smartphone-compatible infotainment system.
