IAB Report - Euro-spec Honda Jazz prototype with a chrome grille revealed

A grille apt for India when it comes here in early 2015.

Honda have announced that they will display the new Honda Jazz prototype at the Paris Motor Show, which starts for the media on October 2, 2014. Compared to the model which is on sale in many Asian markets, the Jazz for Europe retains the styling though a new chrome-finished grille is seen.

Honda confirmed that the Jazz for Europe will go on sale in the summer of 2015, powered by a 1.3-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine whose power and torque outputs remain unannounced. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual or a CVT (the earlier model got a 5-speed manual), and will result in better efficiency and performance, says the company.

The hatchback will be powered by a 1.3-liter petrol engine.

For the Indian market, the Jazz is due to go on sale before March 31, 2015. Honda Cars India would be offering it with the 1.2-liter petrol engine and the 1.5-liter diesel.

Expected Price: INR 5 - 7 lakhs, ex-Showroom
