Gets spruced up exterior and interior.

The Renault Duster facelift was spotted testing with camouflage in Brazil signaling a possible appearance at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in October.

The Dacia Duster received the facelift at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year shortly after which the Renault version followed. The updated crossover carrying the French badge differentiates itself from its Romanian counterpart by means of a new grille.

The facelifted Renault Duster could get a new 1.2-litre TCe motor in Brazil.

The new "emphatic" front fascia receives compartmentalized headlamp units with LED daytime running lights and a new chrome grille with honeycomb meshing.

In profile, the new 16-inch alloy wheels in 'Dark Metal' and the Duster branded roof rails are the only changes. The rear fascia gets a chrome finished exhaust tip, "castellated nameplate trim" and reprofiled combination lights. A new 'Comet Grey' body color joins the existing palette.

Inside, the instrument panel and centre console are reworked. The equipment list has been expanded to include cruise control, park assist and ESC. It remains to be seen how many of these new features will be offered in the India-bound car.

The Brazilian Duster would continue to employ the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre flex-fuel engines but the new range topping 1.2-litre TCe turbo petrol motor mated to a 6-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission could also be in the offing. An AMT is also reported to be on the cards for the 1.6-litre unit.
