The Ertiga will rival the Toyota Innova just like in India.

The Suzuki Ertiga (Maruti Ertiga in India) is all set to make its Vietnamese debut at the country's motorshow in November, reports Danhgiaxe. The website also says that the Swift-based MPV would be imported as CBU from India.

The Ertiga for the Vietnamese market would be available only with the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine. Matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the motor develops 95 PS (93.6 bhp) and 130 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is the primary source of the Ertiga worldwide with export markets such as South Africa and UAE. Suzuki Indonesia is the other subsidiary which builds the 7-seat MPV but it receives CKD kits from India. While the Ertiga comes with a 4-speed AT in some global markets, Maruti sells only manual variants to India.

The Vietnam-bound Ertiga is expected to be fully packed with standard safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. Other features include engine immobilizer, central locking with remote key, dual blower AC and sliding second row seats.

Just like in India, the Ertiga will be positioned as a cheaper alternative to the MPV segment leader, the Toyota Innova. The local media estimates the pricing to be in the vicinity of 599 million dong (around INR 17.32 lakhs) which is roughly 110 million dong (around INR 3.18 lakhs) cheaper than the Innova.

In relevant news, Maruti recently launched a limited edition Ertiga with a chrome grille.
