After teasing fans with pictures of the Discovery Sport prototype, Land Rover have posted yet another teaser that gives us a short glimpse of its interior.

Being the first member of Land Rover's new Discovery family, the exterior design will be heavily inspired by the recently unveiled Discovery Vision Concept. From the looks of it, the Discovery Sport will embody a more rounded, compact design over the squarish Freelander 2 it replaces.

Inside, the SUV will feature a 2+3+2 seating configuration for better accommodation of larger families. The video also gives us a blurred look at the 3-spoke steering wheel, a conventional instrument cluster, a new infotainment system and a new dashboard that borrows certain design elements from its bigger Range Rover brothers. A panoramic glass roof is also seen.

The SUV will be powered by a new range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel Ingenium engines. Since it bears a Land Rover badge, the Discovery Sport will feature a 4-wheel drive system with possibly the latest Terrain Response System, so that it doesn't compromise on off-road capability.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport will be unveiled on September 3rd, 2014.
