1. Hyundai Elite i20
The Hyundai Elite i20 (2015 Hyundai i20) has started surfacing in India without body camouflage. Hyundai India has commenced bookings for the new hatchback and has announced that it will go on sale on August 11.
2. Honda Mobilio
The eagerly awaited Honda Mobilio MPV has been launched in India at INR 6.49 lakhs, ex-showroom New Delhi. The 7-seater is available with petrol and diesel engines, and is positioned between the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova.
3. Mercedes CLA 45 AMG
The Mercedes CLA 45 AMG compact performance sedan has been launched in India at INR 68.5 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. On the sidelines of the launch, Mercedes announced that the regular variants of the Audi A3 rivaling Mercedes CLA Class will be here in six months.
4. Ford Ka (Ford Figo for India)
The Ford Ka which will be launched in India in 2015 as the next gen Ford Figo, broke cover in Brazil at a starting price of INR 9.53 lakhs. The designed-in-Brazil hatchback is powered by a 1.0-litre flex-fuel engine (runs on ethanol and petrol) but the Indian version would get petrol and diesel powerplants.
5. VW Polo facelift
The VW Polo facelift went on sale in India at an introductory starting price of INR 4.99 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The hatchback gets minor cosmetic upgrades and a new 1.5-litre diesel engine. We got behind the wheel of the facelifted Polo TDI to check how well the new oil-burner fares.
