The China-spec crossover gets more aggressive design elements. The front end gets a smaller chrome lined grille and different detailing for the headlamps. The bumper carries more plastic than that of the global model and houses turn indicators and foglights.

The rear fascia receives sleeker taillights that are connected, in addition to a different tailgate and bumper. Inside, the dashboard layout remains the same but the instrument console is new. The Chinese version prefers circular AC vents compared to the global model's continuous rectangular vent on the passenger side.

The SUV is 4,275 mm long, 1,770 mm wide and 1,605 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. Except the length which is 20 mm shorter, rest of the dimensions match the HR-V.

The Honda XR-V will be powered by two petrol engines - 1.5-litre and 1.8-litre. More details on the product would be available when it goes on sale in the country later this year.
