BMW India have launched the 7 Series Signature edition in the country at an ex-Showroom price of INR 1.22 crores (pan-India). Based on the 730Ld variant (which is priced at INR 1.02 crores ex-Showroom, All India), the Signature edition adds a few features to the luxury sedan.
A 16 speaker 1200 Watts Bang & Olufsen high-end surround sound system, an integral Active Steering with rear wheel steer, extended wood trims, “exclusive” Nappa leather upholstery, BMW Individual rear reading lights and a 13 liter cool box are the additional features seen on the car.
The car is available in two metallic paint works: Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect and Mineral White. The Nappa leather upholstery is available in Ivory White/Black color combination and interior trims offered are a Fine-wood trim Burr Walnut with inlays.
As it is based on the 730Ld, the Signature too is powered by the 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine which produces 258 PS (254.3 bhp) and 560 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and achieve a top-speed limited to 250 km/h.
