Looks ready for a festive season launch.
The Mahindra Scorpio would not be the only SUV heading for a facelift this festive season. Here is solid evidence that Tata too are planning a refresh for the Tata Safari Storme. A camouflaged test mule was spotted by CarToq.
From the looks of it, the Storme receives a new front grille with a honeycomb meshing. The bumper also undergoes subtle revisions and the same can be expected at the rear. The interior however is expected to undergo more than just a minor nip and tuck.
The 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine would continue to be the powerhouse but the output is likely to be pumped up from 140 PS to 150 PS just like in the updated ARIA while the torque remains unchanged at 320 Nm.
The existing 5-speed manual transmission will be carried over but it remains to be seen whether the facelifted Safari Storme would benefit from an automatic transmission.
