Hyundai India have released a teaser video of the 2015 Hyundai i20 (Elite i20), which is titled "The compromise ends on August 11", as the car has its Indian launch set for August 11. Pre-launch bookings start from today.

Based on an all-new platform, the second generation i20 was styled by the company's European design center located in Russelsheim, Germany. The car subscribes to the brand's latest Fluidic Design v2.0 design language, and gets a long bonnet, sculpted sides and blackened out C-Pillars.
Power for the new i20 is expected to come from the same set of engines as the current model. The petrol model will use a 1.2-liter four-cylinder Kappa engine while the diesel would be powered by a 1.4-liter four-cylinder CRDi engine. While the petrol would come with a 5-speed manual (an automatic could be offered exclusively with a 1.4-liter petrol), the diesel would get a 6-speed manual transmission.
Like the current model, the new i20 is expected to offer a feature packed and spacious interior.
