Nepal - Skoda Rapid World Cup Edition launched

MAW Enterprises, Skoda's retailer in Nepal, has launched a special edition on the Rapid called the World Cup Edition. The edition adds 14 new features to the sedan. On the outside, the Rapid gets a body sticker in a football theme, door visors, tinted windows, mud flaps, side body beading, a contrast roof, rear parking sensors and a twin exhaust system.

Inside, the car comes with seat cushions, floor mats with the Skoda logo, illuminated sill plates, steering cover, a dashboard mat and a mobile charger.

The 14 changes are offered on the top-end model at no extra cost.

The Rapid in Nepal is exported from India from VW's Chakan facility. The car is available with 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines, with identical power and torque values as the Indian model. The petrol is offered with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic and the diesel gets only the manual transmission.

The Rapid is priced between NPR 3.175 million (INR 19.8 lakhs) to NPR 4.095 million (INR 25.57 lakhs). Apart from the Rapid, Skoda also sells the Fabia, Yeti and Superb in the Nepali market.
