The new Bajaj Discover 150 S has already reached showrooms ahead of its expected launch in the next few days. Dealers have commenced bookings for the latest member of the Discover commuter family at INR 500.

The new Bajaj Discover 150 S can now be booked for INR 500.

The price and specifications of the motorcycle have not been revealed yet but the Discover is powered by a 4-valve air-cooled 150 cc engine. The power and torque figures are expected to be close to the Pulsar 150 which produces 15.06 PS (14.84 bhp) and 12.5 Nm of torque. A 5-speed gearbox actuated by a commuter friendly heal-and-toe shifter does the transmission duty.

In terms of design, it would take a trained eye to differentiate the Bajaj Discover 150 S from the Disover 125 ST. The Discover 150 S gets a meatier 100/90-17 rear MRF tyre as against the Discover 125 ST's 1.6x17 section tyre.

While the Discover ST sports a silver finish for grab rail, rear foot peg mounts, silencer tip and the centre panel, the Discover 150 S employs a full black theme. The rest of the package, including the monoshock rear suspension and instrument console sans the tachometer, is the same.

The Bajaj Discover 150 S is available in two variants, one equipped with regular drum brakes and one with front disc brake. More details will be available before or during the launch.

The new 150 cc Discover would also spawn a semi-faired motorcycle which could be called as the Discover 150 F (fairing). The motorcycle was spotted testing earlier this year and is expected to launch at a later stage.

In addition to the new Discovers, Bajaj is also preparing to launch new variants of the Pulsar family.
