Mahindra has silently launched a new variant of the e2o equipped with power steering. In fact, the e2o now comes in three variants - T01, T2 and T20. The T2 and T20 come with an electric power steering unit according to the company's website. However, dealers are yet to receive the power steering equipped e2os and anticipate an official launch to occur soon.

- Mahindra e2o T01 - INR 4.99 lakhs
- Mahindra e2o T2 - INR 5.78 lakhs
- Mahindra e2o T20 - INR 6.14 lakhs
[Note: Prices are ex-Showroom, Mumbai. Also, Mahindra's website says prices with power steering will be announced shortly. It remains unclear as to whether these are the final prices.]
Mahindra has received customer feedback that the non-assisted steering in the electric car feels heavy at low speeds, and hence the company wants to address this by offering power steering on higher variants.
The base T01 is powered by a 14.8 kW (19.8 bhp) motor producing 53.9 Nm of torque and gets only a manual steering. The T01 is devoid of any entertainment or convenience features. It has a top-speed of 75 km/h and a range of 80 km.
The T2 and T20 are powered by a 19 kW (25.47 bhp) motor making an identical 53.9 Nm of torque. These variants are loaded with features like power steering, music system, reverse camera, electric ORVMs and so on. They have a top-speed of 81 km/h and a range of 120 km. The T20 also comes with Mahindra's Quick2Charge technology announced at the Auto Expo. The system takes only an hour to fully charge the car with a commercial 3-phase setup.
