Mahindra has launched its e2o electric car in Bermuda at 22,995 USD (INR 13.82 lakhs), ex-Showroom. The launch of the car took place in Hamilton, Bermuda.
The e2o's launch in Bermuda sees Mahindra teaming up with Bermuda Engineering Company Limited and Auto Solution Limited. The trio will also work on charging infrastructure within the island and setting up of local service and maintenance works.
The e2o for Bermuda is identical in specifications to the Indian model. Like the Indian model, there are three variants - T01, T2 and T20 Premium. The base variant gets a 14.8 kW electric motor while the top-end variants get a 19 kW motor. All variants make 53.9 Nm of torque and get a 48V lithium-ion battery pack. The T01 can hit a top-speed of 75 km/h and achieve a range of 80 km, and the higher variants have a top-speed of 81 km/h and a range of 120 km.
The T01 and T2 take 4 and 5 hours to fully charge, while the T20 needs only 60 minutes (with a 3-phase 12 kW circuit). The high-end variants also come equipped with power steering, music system, Bluetooth pairing, reverse camera and iPod connectivity.
