A report on Auto Express says that the new Skoda Fabia will come with a 330 liter boot (up from today's 315 liters), and that a special Monte Carlo edition is planned once the hatchback launches.

The current Fabia's boot can be expanded to 1,180 liters with the rear seats folded down, and the new model will better this with 1,195 liters. The increased boot space and possibly larger cabin space would be achieved without increasing the length of the car. Skoda have however confirmed that the width will be increased by 9 cm, though the height will reduce by 3 cm.

A special Monte Carlo edition of the Fabia will see the addition of black wheels, a more dynamic spoiler, sports seats and badges, along the lines of the current Monte Carlo series of Skoda cars sold at the moment (in Europe only). A vRS edition will not be made as there is no demand for it. The company says that customers are willing to pay for enhanced styling, but not power.

As mentioned earlier, don't expect Skoda India to launch the new Fabia soon as the brand is more focussed on selling cars like the Rapid and ones in the premium segments.
