IAB Report - VW India teases Polo facelift ahead of launch today

VW India have released this teaser image of the 2014 VW Polo facelift which launches in the capital today. The teaser image highlights the new Orange body color and the new alloy wheel design of the car.

The refreshed Polo sees exterior, interior and mechanical improvements over its predecessor. On the outside, the hatchback gets a new single-slat grille, a new bumper with chrome finished foglights and static cornering lights, new mirror elements for the headlights, a new Orange body color (seen in the teaser image), new alloy wheels (again, seen in the teaser image), a larger enclosure for the rear number plate and rear reflectors.

Inside, changes come in the form of a new 3-spoke steering wheel, silver inserts for the center console and new font types for the instrument cluster.

The diesel Polo will get a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI engine that will produce 90 PS (88.7 bhp) and 230 Nm of torque. The same engine with outputs of 105 PS (103.5 bhp) and 250 Nm of torque will power the GT TDI variant. No changes will be made to the petrol lineup however.
