Styling enhancements include smiley grille on the front and rear bumpers, black bezel for the headlamps and reprofiled taillight elements. On the inside, the new top-of-the-line Nano would come with exterior color co-ordinated dashboard trims, new 3-spoke steering wheel akin to the one in Bolt and Zest, "Infinity Motif" seat cover, new gear lever and revised aircon vents.

The functional hatch provides easy access to the boot space.

Mechanically, the 624cc twin-cylinder petrol engine is expected to continue delivering 38 PS and 51 Nm of torque. Apart from the current 4-speed manual gearbox, an F-Tronic AMT supplied by auto component major Magneti Marelli would be available. The Twist Active is also expected to come with a 24-litre fuel tank instead of the current car's 15-litre container.

The concept at the Auto Expo had a new steering wheel, gear lever and fabrics.

The openable boot, F-Tronic AMT and styling changes are imperative for the Nano to be re-positioned as a "Smart City Car". We expect the fully loaded Nano to be ready by end of this year or early next year.
